‘Wish You Could Hear’ to be completed

A week passed by, and here I am, writing my third blog entry. I feel the posts are a tad too close together, so I’ll be changing the frequency of my blogging from twice a week to just once a week: on Wednesdays.

Don’t worry, I know you’ll survive 🙂

OK, back on topic.

I’m very pleased to announce ‘Wish You Could Hear‘ is soon to be completed. Took us quite some time, I know, but the result is worth it, trust me 🙂

With Robert finishing the drum track, the piece is really close of being completed. All it needs now is some orchestral re-arranging (to fit the newest percussion track) and mixing & mastering. The track should be available by late July.

The schedule was pretty atypical, I must admit. The order was Keys & Orchestra – Guitars – Bass – Drums.

Colin and I recorded first, trying to lay down a basic track for Petri and Robert to fill in. I recorded a very basic bass track for reference, and removed it completely when Petri sent the real one. Once the keys, orchestra, guitars and bass were done, the track traveled to the United States where Robert added the drums.

This is not the official artwork, of course. It was fan made 🙂

I recorded piano, synths and orchestra (Ok fine, you got me there, it’s not a real orchestra!) in my own studio down here in Argentina. Colin recorded and pre-mixed his guitars at The Stoned Bun Studios, in Sweden. Petri recorded his basslines in Jyväskylä, Finland, while Robert’s drums were recorded and pre-mixed by Rusty Dimmett at Kennesound Studios in Kennesaw, Georgia, USA.

The final result will be available really, really soon, and you can all get it via Melodic Revolution Records. We’ll announce an official release date soon.

Until then, I’ll keep you posted every Wednesday!

Cheers!
Andres
